Role Overview:

In this role, you will assist the Retail Management team in the day to day running of the designated stores within a specific area. Taking ownership of a number of duties while making sure that the stores KPIs are achieved. Furthermore, in the Manager’s absence, you will be the first point of contact, therefore you will motivate the workforce to drive sales and offer exceptional customer service while exceeding targets and maintaining the standards of the business.

Customer service

  • Ensure that customers are given considerate and responsible service throughout their visit.
  • Deal with inquiries and complaints resolving the issue at the earliest opportunity in a professional manner.
  • Ensure that personal appearance and standard of dress for the internal team is in line with company guidelines.
  • Have an understanding of the Customer Service measuring programme, Customer Satisfaction Surveys

Sales

  • Ensure that targets are achieved and, where possible, exceeded.
  • Able to understand and interpret the relevant Oracle reports.
  • Utilise in-store devices, ensuring that all team members are driving this at every opportunity.
  • Confident use of the store’s dashboard to analyse Footfall, ATV and Conversion.

Visual Merchandising

  • Attract, engage and motivate customers into making purchases in store by using the latest visual techniques.
  • Ensure that the weekly brief has been actioned with the store
  • Ensure that all merchandise is correctly priced, price amendments are actioned and all POS is correctly displayed.
  • Keep stock on display clean and presentable at all times.

Training & Development

  • Develop internal staff and promote progression within the group.
  • Monitor the Training and Development site and keep track of staff progression by the relevant E-assessments.
  • Assist with store recruitment, new starter inductions, and staff training.
  • Management development should be prioritised with the use of the Trainee Management Academy.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed

  • Retail Management experience.
  • Excellent Time Management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • IT skills – Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Willing to travel.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Reporting in to the Service Delivery Manager, the role holder will be required to provide support for both internal and external stakeholders in relation to JD Sports’ ecommerce systems and platforms.

The role will involve pro-actively monitoring, detecting and taking positive action to help avoid or mitigate against downtime and protecting the customer experience within the agreed SLA’s. You will be tasked with recording and analysing incidents and their resolution as a means of continuous improvement. You will be liaising and working with our wider support team across two continents.

You must have a high level of technical expertise and clear insights into current business practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work activities vary day-to-day but typically involve:

• Monitoring, recording and responding to all new incidents and service requests raised via ticketing system, telephone, face to face and email

• Liaising extensively with external or internal stakeholders to see issues through to resolution.

• Liaising with stakeholders to ensure effective prioritisation of incidents based on impact and urgency

• Managing internally reported software, website, mobile application and web hosting issues from identification to resolution. Implementing where possible ‘work arounds’ and feeding directly into the development workflow with any changes required.

• Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability.

• Sending email communications to stakeholders to raise awareness of high impacting incidents or system maintenance

• Working closely with colleagues, developers, testers, suppliers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction.

• Drawing up, supervising and documenting processes for the benefit of the wider team.

• Supporting users on change control and system updates.

• Working remotely out of hours as and when needed. Usually on a shift/rota basis.

• Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments.

• Managing suppliers ensuring that all agreed SLA’s are adhered to.

• Liaise and work with other JD Technical teams as required.

• Creation and renewal of website certificates

• Administration of Payment Service Provider accounts and associated payment methods

• Generation and distribution of regular reports to provide up to date information on trading activities and system performance

• Performing routine checks and ongoing monitoring of systems and applications

• Supporting high profile product launches, including liaising with Merchandising teams, data verification, website traffic management and stock level reporting
