Our dietetics courses are approved by the Health and Care Professions Council and closely allied to subjects related to medicine. ABOUT THE POST

An opportunity has arisen within the School of Human Sciences for a Lecturer in Dietetics Practice Education for nine months at 0.8 FTE. You will be passionate about education and dietetics and have a degree in Dietetics and/or Nutrition, being an HCPC registered Dietitian, who is at the start of your career. A strong interest in developing evidence based dietetic educational practice is an advantage. This is an exciting role where you will be able to support dietetics practice based learning at London Met with our external placement sites, within our simulated placements and collaborative learning. Our vision for our provision is to drive education for social justice, supporting representation and opportunity in dietetics practice based learning. You will work collaboratively with our multi-professional Health Sciences academic team, which includes dietitians, nutritionists and physiotherapists to support our dietetics practice based learning
programme, which represents the values of our institution.

ABOUT THE POST

Reporting to the Security Coordinator you will be involved in the provision of security services at our busy campuses at Holloway & Aldgate, working within a team of 10 Security Officers and 4 Security Shift Supervisors. Key duties of the role also include the monitoring of Health & Safety, Fire Safety and Emergency procedures, and the provision of first aid support to building users. The role can be physically demanding as you will be required to carry out regular patrols and
health & safety compliance checks.
The security team covers all building opening times, which currently range between 06:00 to 00:30 Monday – Friday and between 07:00 – 19:30 on Saturdays and Sundays and all members of the team will be rostered to cover our building opening hours, including any subsequent changes to these hours.
You should have experience in a customer service and support role, together with a good working knowledge of operating security, CCTV, fire, intruder and access control systems. You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to respond effectively in crisis situations.
You will be a qualified First Aider or be willing to train as such. You should hold an appropriate SIA license or be willing to train as such. We would welcome applications from females as they are currently underrepresented in this role.

ABOUT THE POST

The Student Conduct Officer is an integral role to the University’s commitment to tackling harassment and hate and forms part of the Student Casework Office within the Department of Vice-Chancellor’s Office. The postholder will be the main point of contact for, and be responsible for, all referrals, investigations and reports non-academic student misconduct across the University. They must be able to make informed and impartial decisions concerning precautionary actions and
investigations in a timely manner, as well as present cases of significant misconduct to panel for hearings. The postholder will manage a caseload of conduct cases throughout the year, including cases that may also be a criminal offence, or a
safeguarding concern and be able to liaise with external and internal agencies such as the police, social services, solicitors or Student Services. The Student Conduct Officer is expected to ensure that cases are dealt with in a timely, fair, independent and confidential manner and in accordance to University policy, regulations and procedures. Student conduct is a highly complex area of work and one that requires careful consideration and a strong understanding of the wider regulatory framework that the policy and processes sit within, as well as where this may coincide with, or need to be referred to a different policy or process. The postholder will be required to be approachable and assertive; able to deal with challenging behaviour whilst being fair and professional.

The postholder will work with relevant stakeholders to lead on all activities and processes that relate to non-academic misconduct across the University. This is an opportunity for a highly skilled and self-motivated individual to develop a sector leading service in a significant area in the sector.

ABOUT THE POST

  • London Metropolitan University is seeking to recruit a Estates & Fire
    Safety Advisor to support the delivery of health and safety services by
    the Health and Safety Team.
  • As part of the Health and Safety Team, the Estates & Fire Safety Advisor
    is required to ensure the Estates and Professional Service Departments
    discharge their legal obligations in relation to the University’s Health
    and Safety management system and statutory compliance requirements.
    In addition the Estates & Fire Safety Advisor will have a general
