As part of our great team in Mercedes-Benz Trucks, we are happy to be sharing an opportunity to come and work for us as our new Executive Assistant. This role will be key in supporting the Managing Director and Executive Team, driving effective and efficient project management to help drive our mission and contributing to our success.  This is, alongside being the lead responsible for delivering a compliant Quality Management System and an effective Internal Communications for Mercedes-Benz Truck.

More about the role

As our Executive Assistant, you will attend all business meetings, ensuring presentations and documents are prepared and all actions required are followed up from those meetings. Collate all assignments from different forums and prepare a plan, ensuring tasks are delivered within the target deadlines. It is important that our Managing Director and Executive Team continue to be updated on relevant changes, therefore you will keep abreast of business topics, guidelines and polices. Liaising with the PA to ensure prioritisation for the Managing Director and Executive Team’s schedules.  You will operate as the Programme Manager for all Mercedes-Benz Trucks strategic projects at organisational and department levels.

In the world of COVID that we find ourselves in, Internal Communications is imperative and we want to ensure we are effective in keeping connected with our colleagues to make sure they are kept informed and motivated. Therefore, you will lead and drive our internal communication activities working closely with the wider Corporate Communications team and with the HR team to drive cultural change and engagement with our colleagues.

You will also be responsible for the Quality Management System, this will involve co-ordination of the quality management procedures, ensuring that all standards are met to successfully pass all audits, alongside ensuring ISO regulation compliance is maintained. Participate and contribute to Corporate Quality and Environmental meetings, engaging with Mercedes-Benz UK Quality Coordinators.

Lastly you will drive continuous improvements in QMS processes, whist also designing and delivering training to all internal stakeholders on QMS processes.

About you

Alongside experience within a similar role you are an exceptional collaborator, communicator and influencer who is able to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality and discretion in all matters. You have a strong commercial acumen, with experience in providing reliable and accurate support to senior executives. Substantial experience in project management, managing conflicting priorities exhibiting excellent time management skills by staying one step ahead. Outstanding research skills, together with a high level of problem solving, presentation and organisation skills. You are highly-motivated with the ability and desire to learn within a dynamic environment.

How You’ll Play Your Part

In this role you will be responsible for the lead generation process, creating the point of contact for customers that will eventually lead to the sale of a new or used Mercedes-Benz vehicle. You will make unscripted outbound calls to customers with a view to convert them into potential leads for retailers, responding efficiently and professionally to provide one-call resolutions. You will answer inbound queries relating to Mercedes-Benz products and services and record all queries and action points on the customer contact system.

Ensuring company standards of communication, you will take ownership and work within guidelines to resolve customers’ queries through the means of Live Chat or via telephony.

You’ll Also
Be expected to provide customer responses verbally and electronically
Adhere to the Data Protection Act and Consumer Credit Act
Pass and maintain relevant accreditation / compliance / knowledge to the desired standard

About You

As well as experience in a customer facing environment, you will be comfortable cold calling, with the ability to make outbound calls. You will understand the importance of customer experience and be able to operate efficiently in a high volume, high tempo business area. You will have excellent written and verbal communication and a good level of numeracy, literacy, administration and organisational skills. It is preferred that you hold customer service experience and can demonstrate knowledge of the motor industry and Mercedes-Benz products.
