As a UK National MSL Manager you will lead scientific engagement with Medical Experts of a team on 9-10 MSL in the IHD Franchise. You will have an excellent track record and passion for coaching and mentoring to ensure excellence in execution for the MSL team. Together with the IHD Medical Head and Medical lead you will provide strategic input into in-line and pipeline medical plans through field based insights and strategic thinking with sound business acumen.

Key Responsibilities:
Your Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

•Working with the TA Head in IHD and medical lead to establish strong medical head office and field collaboration
•Forming part of the medical management core team helping to devise and deliver on the Uk IHD strategy
•Engaging with Medical Experts (MEs) to educate on medical and scientific information
•Ensuring appropriate identification or mapping of MEs/ Key Accounts including identification of opportunities to involve MEs when a specific medical need is identified to provide support
•Developing as well as executing ME engagement plans to effectively prioritize and strategically engage MEs aligned with country strategy
•Responding to unsolicited requests for information from MEs or delegating as appropriate
•Proactively contributing to the development and execution of medical strategy/tactical plans including collecting, analysing as well as reporting impactful insights from MEs
•Supporting Novartis clinical research programs, optimizing trial execution and providing scientific educational support to study sites in collaboration with clinical operations
•Facilitating Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) process upon investigator request or delegating as appropriate
•Providing expert disease area and product training, serving as a medical resource to field colleagues, actively coaching as well as mentoring others

Minimum requirements
What you’ll bring to the role:

•PhD, Pharms, MB BS, MB ChB Qualification
•Masters’ degree or equivalent in Health Sciences or if in other scientific fields and/or significant medical affairs with clinical experience
•People management experience is essential
•Extensive experience in the Pharma sector
•Demonstrative ability to be accountable for all scientific and clinical activities undertaken with respective clinician, developing an appropriate strategic plan for these activities
•Capability to coach and mentor colleagues
•Strong understanding of the SOTL role
•Excellent influencing, networking, presentation and communications skills and a proven

The Strategic Account Manager leads the development and implementation of effective strategic and tactical strategic account management across the accounts.

They will align and implement an integrated portfolio Patient Access plan aimed at market shaping, local access and maximisation of patient access to enable portfolio CPO goals with sales and medical functions locally.

This is a field based role for which the territory will be North London.

Your responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Accountable for the strategic account insights and senior customer relationships that will ensure maximum access for patients across the portfolio.
  • Development and delivery of an integrated Patient Access & Payer plan (for the pharma portfolio, approx. 6 brands) aimed at delivering product differentiation most relevant to the payers across the strategic accounts.
  • Lead the development of integrated local strategic account plans across the portfolio and all commercial functions, for the agreed strategic accounts; Accountable for delivery of the strategic account shaping, access and listing activities across the strategic account.
  • Accountable for developing an in-depth understanding of national/local policy with the ability to influence and shape the local health economy.
  • Accountable for local formulary access in strategic accounts.
  • Responsible for account strategic insights and their implications to inform portfolio opportunities and the portfolio business annual plan for prelaunch and launch activities in addition to identifying opportunities that will maximise patient improved outcomes.
  • Accountable for gathering evidence and translating into intelligence to inform payer value propositions and pricing strategies.

Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Deep understanding of payer/HTA across UK.
  • Market Access experience including senior level C-suite engagement, and commercial sales experience.
  • Track record of delivering access milestones.
  • Proven track record of collaborative working across cross-functional teams with a collectively accountable mind-set.
