An opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for a full-time leisure attendant, based at Bootle Leisure Centre to join the team. The post is for a fully qualified NPLQ lifeguard to work as part of a team, ensuring customer safety and high standards of service and customer care are always maintained. This role requires constant supervision of the poolside; you will need to be fully focused with the ability to remain vigilant, alert, and attentive. This position involves the setting up of equipment to meet the needs of the programmed activities and to undertake cleaning tasks to ensure the centre is well presented to the highest standard. The candidate will have a friendly and approachable manner to always maintain a high level of customer service. The candidate must be NPLQ qualified and must be able to demonstrate competency. Ongoing monthly training is also required.
Qualifications
It is essential you have a current Royal Lifesaving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. A first aid at work qualification, AED and pool plant operator’s certificate are also desirable.
Skills and Experience
The Leisure Attendant should ideally be able to demonstrate a level of experience and
knowledge commensurate with the position.

An opportunity has become available within customer services, and we are seeking to recruit a customer service advisor, to work within Sefton councils contact centre.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team of customer service advisors offering telephone, e-mail, and social media services to customers across a wide range of council services. They will play a key role in providing the customers and residents of Sefton with a high-quality customer service experience as well as maintaining and updating customer information as appropriate on a Customer CRM system as well as other relevant database applications.
Do you have strong customer service experience within a fast-paced Contact Centre environment and are you comfortable and confident with managing a demanding and varied workload?
Most of our enquiries are from residents dealing with complex challenging and stressful situations around council services such as social care cleansing housing benefit and council tax. A background in local government would be desirable but the ability to understand and communicate complex messages is essential. Full training will be given to successful candidates who display the customer service qualities we are seeking.

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join our team as a teaching assistant to provide EAL support for pupils across a range of Sefton schools.
The aim of the role is to promote inclusion and provide learning support for students who have English as a second language. The postholder will work across a range of school settings providing additional within class support for bilingual learners to equip them to access the wider curriculum and to develop social language opportunities.
As an EAL Teaching Assistant you will be expected to:
- Support EAL students with personalised learning
- Help to overcome barriers to learning
- Adapt and customise lesson plans

- Provide pastoral support
